At Salzburg University of Applied Sciences, we focus not only on technological innovations but also, and perhaps more importantly, on socially relevant problems and critical issues. For the presentation of the annual exhibition, where all the big projects of the Creative Technologies department are showcased – “Rundgang 2022” at Salzburg University of Applied Sciences, we addressed these sensitive topics in order to initiate change.

This was the start of brief start of the rundgang project. Out of 12 people, i was the programmer who was tasked with creating the public website.

The website included public pages about the event, the projects running on them, and the option to get tickets of attendance for some limited number of visitors events. On top of that, there was a login for the admins of the event to login and monitor the tickets being reserved and a “check in” page for them to check off the people that showed up for the reservations.

Details

The project was made mainly with PHP and some sass. Hosted with an apache server and supported by a postgresql db in the back to save the ticket and users information.

Here are some screenshots from this project. The design was chosen before joined the team. Although i was not a big fan of it, and the gridy design, i managed to make it responsive and working in the end.

The different CAPTCHA images draw the viewer’s attention to problems in our world. In doing so, we verify that we are not robots, because unlike them, we have feelings and advocate for the future we want to live in.
